Where Does Linen Come From?

April 26, 2012 Leave a comment

A very good question indeed, so let us give you a brief  history on linen.  Linen, a naturally cool fabric that  is made from the fibers of the flax plant.  It being as hard it is to produce makes it very valuable. Linen’s been around for centuries and its use can date back to the Egyptian times. Today, not only does linen clothing  keeps us cool during spring and summer, but it’s also very fashionable. Some great places to wear linen  is to the beach, on cruises, and barbeques. Linen outfits and suit are often worn with loafers, sandals, and dress shoes with accessories like jewelry, straw hats, and ivy hats.

So this concludes our brief history on linen. If you still happen to be intrigued by linen or the  flax plant(on the right) allow us to share some links with you guys for some further reading. You can find a more in-depth history on linen by going to one of its manufactures website by clicking here. On the other hand if you are interested in the flax plant you can go to this natural health website we came across or Wikipedia. Also  if you would like to know how to wash linen properly you can click here.

Men to Women Shoe Size Conversion

April 26, 2012 1 comment

Lately we have  been asked the following question: “what size shoes do I wear in men if I wear a X size in women’s?”  The answer to this question is rather simple. Keep in mind that a lot of shoes are cut different so you would still have to try them on. but for the most part, in U.S sizes you simply subtract 2 from the woman’s shoe size in order to find out what size you would wear in mens. For example if you wear a 10 in women’s  you would wear a 8 in men’s.

Here is a shoe size conversion chart for both men and women.
